Planning & Design

Throughout the initial free consultation we are able to develop your ideas using portfolios, hand drawings and sample pieces to help to give visual perspective. This can be achieved in our showroom or the comfort of your home. Our service allows you to choose style, material options and finish to compliment your existing décor. A quotation along with a line drawing and measurements will follow.

Design Approval

When you are happy to proceed with your order we draw up an agreement confirming all details and measurements and ask for a 25% deposit. This enables us to book into production and plan a delivery date.

Construction & Delivery

We will keep you informed at every step of the process including 2nd measurements before building, the build process and delivery and fitting options. Once our craftsmen have completed your project a delivery date will be set and final installation can commence. We will endeavour to ensure your furniture slips seamlessly into position with as little disruption as possible.

Case Study – Apartment

Riverside furniture was tasked with adding finishing touches to a new town apartment. Firstly our customer required a matching kitchen island, dining set and sideboard to complete the spacious open plan kitchen / dining area. The units were produced in Tulipwood with a satin sheen buttermilk painted finish to match the existing kitchen. Fine details like handles and colour were critical in ensuring a perfect fit.

Next up to the master bedroom where we were commisioned to produce a large wardrobe assembly within a vaulted ceiling which had to house the owners T.V. Alongside this we manufactured a matching Linen press all in solid oak character timbers with a rustic warm hue. Finally a simple painted open free standing bathroom cabinet with oak top was designed for the recess in the ensuite bathroom.

With this project we worked closely with our customer who had a clear idea of what was needed. Drawings and sketches were provided to ensure fine details and designs were to the customers specification. The end results proved to be a great success and a very satisfied customer!

Case Study – Ash Bedroom

We were asked by our customer to design a master bedroom with ensuite facilities emphasising on a light spacious feel and importance on separate dressing and sleeping areas.

The timber choice was Ash for its pale, decorative grain structure which was finished in a satin sheen lacquer. Behind the full length wardrobe doors was a combination of hanging and shelving storage utilising every available space to full effect.

A contemporary square edge design with in-frame doors was chosen finished with a classic scotia moulding.

Case Study – Modern Oak

This project took us to a modern house on the edge of Dartmoor. We were asked to produce a very contemporary designed oak Long John or Coffee table nest as a central living area piece with matching lamp tables and corner display unit. The design had to be square edged and minimalist but at the same time warm and attractive. The mitred joints helped to add some detail to a modern theme. The warm colour brought out the best from the oak grain giving an overall simple but effective range.

In the dining area we added a simple fixed top oak table with matching 3 door sideboard with push to open mechanisms to all drawers and doors and so eliminating any unsightly protruding handles! This was also evident in the glazed corner display which had spotlights for a little mood lighting.
